Addressing some crash problems (@cloudmike)

JamYourFace 1.07 has been approved. We’re focusing on trying to fix the occasional crash problems that some people are experiencing. This release has a new feature that will let us receive crash reports immediately after a problem occurs, with lots of details about what went wrong. If you do experience a crash, please launch the app again so the report can be sent to us.

Our goal is to use these reports to find a solution once and for all! To those of you who have encountered this problem, thanks for your patience in the meantime.

The JamYourFace Halloween update is out now! Organizing a costume party for your friends? Want to send a spooky scene to that special someone? Make a Halloween jam and share it!

The Halloween update features two entirely new costume sets:  the Angel and the Devil. There’s also a new background and a new song to complete the theme.

Version 1.04 approved (@cloudmike)

Mice and bunnies, oh my! At last, Apple has approved the next update for JamYourFace, featuring two new, full costume sets (a mouse and a bunny), along with some important fixes.  Enjoy!

Version 1.04 is ready (@cloudmike)

This new version adds new content, as usual, and we’ve also fixed some bugs and improved some error checking to help track down any remaining problems.  Apple is currently processing a change to our App Store account, after which we’ll submit 1.04 for their approval.

Crash bug delaying 1.04 (@cloudmike)

We’ve had a few reports of the application working fine for awhile, but then crashing when you press the Create button. That’s no good! We’d like to fix this bug before we release 1.04. If you encounter this crash and you can provide us with any information that might help, such as your device type and OS version, we’d really appreciate it!

Possible problem when sharing jams (@cloudmike)

We’ve tracked down a bug that is preventing a small number of people from being able to share their jams on Facebook, the web, and by email. The problem can occur if you use certain international characters in your jam information (author, title, details) or in your speech text.

We apologize for this, and we’ll fix it as soon as possible!

In the meantime we’ve had a large influx of new users and jams thanks to the release of the Lite version of JamYourFace. Thanks for your support!

JamYourFace Lite available now! (@cloudmike)

If you’re undecided about JamYourFace for iPhone and iPod touch, now you can download JamYourFace Lite for free to see what it’s all about.  The Lite version has very limited content:  not many costumes, songs, backgrounds or props.  And you can only add two people.  That should be enough to give you a taste, and if you like what you see, you can buy the full version for only $1.99.  That’s less than the price of a greeting card!

Version 1.03 is available now as well, and we’re working on 1.04, which will be released soon.

What’s new in 1.03 (@cloudmike)

I’m happy to announce that 1.03 will be available soon.  It’s got two new costume sets and a new track from Death By Corporate. It’s also got a different menu button. The one we had before didn’t look much like a button, so lots of people didn’t realize you could press it! As a result, people didn’t know that you can save and load different jams simply by returning to the menu and accessing My Jams. Hopefully that’ll be clearer now.

We also added a great new feature in this update:  photo rotation! Now when you’re cutting people’s faces from your photos, you can use the pinch gesture to both scale and rotate in order to get just the right angle on those occasionally tilted heads.

We’re seeing lots of activity today as people check out the extra content and new people join the fun. Hi everyone! All our systems are online and stable under the heaviest load we’ve seen since launching JamYourFace a few weeks ago. We’ll announce more details about 1.03 soon.

JamYourFace 1.01 approved, 1.02 is on the way (@cloudmike)

1.01 is released!  You can update it now to get more clothes, a new song, a new background, and sound effects for the user interface. 1.02 has also been submitted, and with any luck it’ll be available within a couple weeks. It features some new dances and clothes, as well as another new background.

In the meantime we’ll be working on 1.03:  yet another free update with even more new content!
